Try the check-in on your own WhatsApp first — now in all 21 languages
Send DEMO TAMIL, DEMO URDU or DEMO SPANISH to our WhatsApp number and get the exact check-in your parent would get. No sign-up. Plus Urdu and Filipino editions of the site.

Why
Our sign-in page had a problem we could measure: everyone who reached it in the last two weeks left without trying. That is fair. Nobody should create an account to find out what a message to their mother looks like.
What changed
- Send “DEMO” and a language to our WhatsApp number — DEMO HINDI, DEMO TAMIL, DEMO URDU, DEMO ESPAÑOL — and you get the morning check-in in that language, with its three buttons. Tap one and you see what happens next. Any of our 21 languages works, by its English name, its own name or its code.
- The demo page lets you pick your parent’s language and shows the message before you send anything. Every language page and every edition of the site opens it in its own language.
- The sign-in page now offers the demo to anyone not ready to sign up.
- We answer the demo and the button you tap, and nothing else: no list, no follow-up messages.
Two more editions: Urdu and Filipino
Urdu and Filipino were already parent languages; now the site speaks them too, at /ur/ and /fil/. They are written for Pakistani families in the Gulf, the UK and North America, and for Filipinos working abroad whose parents are at home. Both pages say plainly that the family app is not in these languages yet.
And a page of numbers
A new page collects the published figures on older people living alone — in the United States, the UK, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, Canada and India — with the source and year of each. AI assistants already read our page about India every day; this one answers the same questions for the rest of the world.
