Parent care for employees whose parents live far away

A caregiving benefit for employees with parents in India or another country: a daily check-in in the parent's language, a call when they go quiet, alerts to the employee and family, and help with reports and refills.

The problem

A large share of your people look after a parent who lives in another city or another country. The worry does not stay at home: it arrives as a missed call at 3 AM, a sudden trip, a morning spent on the phone to a hospital. Research on transnational caregivers describes the same pattern everywhere: time-zone juggling, guilt, emergency travel and lost focus at work.

What your employees get

What HR gets

Each parent agrees personally before anything starts, on WhatsApp or by pressing 1 on our call, and can stop at any time. Health information is stored in India, encrypted where it is sensitive, and shared only within the family. The employer is never told which employee has an alert, a reading or a diagnosis.

Start with a pilot

Try it with one team for three months. Write to us with the size of the team and where your people are based, and we will send pricing for teams and a short plan for the pilot.

Questions families ask

Where can employees and their parents be?

Employees can be anywhere. Parents can live in India or in any country where they use WhatsApp; the daily phone call reaches 25 countries today.

Does it replace our EAP or insurance?

No. It is the daily layer those do not provide: someone asks every day, and the family hears when a parent goes quiet. It works alongside counselling, insurance and leave.

Is this medical care?

No. We track, remind and coordinate; doctors diagnose and prescribe. In an emergency the parent should call the local emergency number.

Athnova Care tracks and coordinates care. It does not diagnose, prescribe or replace a doctor. In a medical emergency in India call 112.
