Daily WhatsApp check-in for your parents
One WhatsApp message a day in your parent’s language, answered with one tap. No app, no password, no typing — and you see the answer wherever you live.
What your parent sees
Every day, at the time you chose together, your parent gets one WhatsApp message in their own language: "Good morning Kamala ji 🙏 Did you take your morning medicines?" Under it are three buttons — Yes, taken · Not yet · Please call me. They tap one. That is the whole task.
What you see
The answer appears in the family app within seconds, with the time in your parent’s time zone. On the home screen you see, for each parent, whether they have replied today, and a history of the last weeks. Every family member on the plan sees the same thing.
What each answer does
| Your parent taps | What happens next |
|---|---|
| Yes, taken | A warm thank-you. Your app shows the check-in as complete. |
| Not yet | A gentle follow-up later in the day asks again. It is shown to you as "not yet", not as a missed dose. |
| Please call me | You are alerted at once, with a one-tap button to call. |
| Types or says they are unwell | You are alerted at once. Your parent is reminded to call 112 in an emergency. |
| Nothing | A reminder, then a phone call, then alerts to the family and local contacts. |
It starts with their consent
Nothing is sent until your parent agrees. The first message explains who is asking and why, and has two buttons: "Yes, I agree" and "No". They can reply STOP on any day and the messages stop immediately.
More than one question, when it is useful
- On reading days: "Please send a photo of your BP or sugar reading."
- Afternoon, evening and night medicine reminders, if your parent has them.
- A weekly note telling your parent how their week went and that you have seen it.
If your parent is travelling or unwell
Pause a parent’s check-ins from their page in the app, until a date you choose — for a pilgrimage, a hospital stay, a visit to you. They restart by themselves. Your parent can also pause them by replying STOP and restart with START.
Free text is understood too
Parents do not always use the buttons. A reply such as "le li", "haan", "saptaen" or a voice note is read and understood in their language, including mixed Hindi-English and Tamil-English. Anything else they write is passed on to you with a short summary.
Questions families ask
Does my parent need to install anything?
No. They need WhatsApp on their own phone. There is no app, account or password for them.
Can I choose the time of the check-in?
Yes, for each parent, in their local time. You can change it whenever you like.
What if my parent taps the wrong button?
They can simply reply again. The latest answer is the one shown to you.
