Daily check-in in Hindi for your parents (हिन्दी)

A daily WhatsApp check-in and follow-up phone call in Hindi for your parents in India. See the exact messages they receive, and the replies they can give.

Hindi is the language most of our families choose. It is the mother tongue of parents across the north and centre of India, and the second language of many more.

Parents who read English perfectly well at the bank still prefer to be asked about their health in Hindi. It is the language in which they will say "तबीयत ठीक नहीं" without first deciding whether it is worth mentioning.

What your parent sees, in Hindi

These are the real messages, exactly as they are sent. The English under each one is for you; your parent sees only the Hindi.

If they do not answer

About three hours later your parent gets a gentle reminder, and then a phone call in Hindi. If the calls are not answered, you are alerted, and then the local contacts you chose.
