Parents do not always use the buttons. These everyday replies, typed the way people type them, are understood:

Can my parent reply in English?
Yes. They can tap the buttons, which are in English, or type or speak in their own words. Replies in English are understood.
Is the phone call also in English?
Yes. If the WhatsApp message is not answered, the reminder and the phone call are in English.
Can each parent have a different language?
Yes. The language is set for each parent, and you can change it at any time.
Which language does the family app use?
English or Hindi. The family app is for you; your parent only uses WhatsApp and their phone.
